Prostitution and solicitation offenses apply to anyone who solicits, agrees to participate or actually does participate in any "lewd act between persons for money or other consideration," and is a misdemeanor which can carry jail time, and is a “crime of moral turpitude” which can interfere with employment in the future. Also, "pandering" or "pimping" is are felonies which can carry lengthy prison sentences, and even 290 sex offender registration if the crime involves a minor.
